Architect and interior designer Jaime Cezário is one of the most famous Brazilian Carnavalescos in Rio de Janeiro. Mr. Cezário has been an award-winning designer, internationally recognized for his work as an avid carnaval researcher, professor, and contributor for many carnaval magazines and newspapers in Brazil. 

Since 2008 he has been working with UI Professor of Dance Armando Duarte in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as a collaborator for the Brazilian Carnaval, music, dance, design, and street performance course through Study Abroad in International Programs. Mr. Cezário has been the main carnaval host for the students that have visited Rio de Janeiro. In addition, in 2010 he received an invitation by the UI to give a series of lectures on the subject of carnaval in Brazil and the Schools of Samba of Rio de Janeiro.
