European Art 1900-1970
The core of the collections of Western art since 1900 includes painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, and photography. Chronologically, this collection begins with masterworks of early-to-mid 20th century European easel painting—French, German, Spanish, Russian are particularly notable—and delves into the avant-garde—Cubism, Surrealism, Dada, and German Expressionism.
A selection of works in the UIMA's collection of European Art from 1900-1970 is now on view at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, Iowa.
