Graduate and Professional Student Reception
April 20, 2012, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
125 N. Madison St., Iowa City, IA
The University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA) has partnered with the Executive Council of Graduate and Professional Students (ECGPS) and the Graduate Student Senate (GSS) to host the fifth annual Graduate Student Reception. University graduate and professional students are invited to enjoy an evening celebrating art with a live DJ, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar in the UIMA’s two gallery spaces--both on the third floor of the Iowa Memorial Union. Japanese video artist Hiraki Sawa’s Hako (Box) will be on display at the Black Box Theater, and tours of the Museum’s permanent collection will be available at the UIMA@IMU. This event is open, with no admission fee to graduate and professional students and their guests.
Students in attendance will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for prizes of UIMA merchandise and gift certificates to local businesses.
Parking for the Graduate Student Reception will be available in the IMU Parking Ramp on North Madison Street, located across the street from the IMU’s east side. This event is sponsored by the ECGPS and the GSS, along with the University of Iowa Museum of Art.
