Exhibitions/Symposium/Film World Premiere/Visiting Artists/UI Students/Iowa Print Fair

Exhibitions: October 12-December 9, 2012; Events: December 1-2, 2012

Organized by the School of Art and Art History and the University of Iowa Museum of Art.

Free and open to the public.

A tribute to universities in the Midwestern United States that from the mid-1940s to mid-1950s formed a nucleus of new Master of Fine Arts printmaking programs, and an acknowledgement of the individual artist-professors whose work and that of their students contributed to the now celebrated post-war printmaking revival in America.

The Midwest Matrix symposium is dedicated to UI Emeritus Professor of Art Mauricio Lasansky.
The exhibition Selections from the Iowa Print Group Collection is dedicated to UI Emeritus Professor of Art Virginia A. Myers.
