The collection area of Western prints before 1900 includes many fine examples of technical experimentation, intellectual inquiry and aesthetic expression.

Currently on view at the Figge Art Museum is the UIMA exhibition In the Footsteps of Masters: The Evolution of the Reproductive Print, which includes over 50 prints and drawings from the UIMA pemanent collection, many created prior to 1900.
