Book a Stanley Visual Classroom Tour or Study Visit
Tours and object study visits are available at the Stanley Visual Classroom, the Stanley Museum of Art's temporary space in the Iowa Memorial Union. Use the form below to request a gallery tour or object study visit.
Submission of this form does not guarantee that your tour or visit will take place—this is a request form. A separate confirmation will be sent to you once your form has been reviewed. Bear in mind that it typically takes two weeks to schedule tours, so please submit your requests in advance.
Our regular hours of operation are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m.–9 p.m.; and, Saturday and Sunday, 12–5 p.m. Hours may change during University of Iowa breaks and holidays. Use our website to stay up-to-date on our opening hours.
Groups or individuals associated with the UI or another college or university may reserve the Stanley Visual Classroom for supervised study of objects not currently on display. The space can accommodate a maximum of 25 students at a given time. Email Assistant Curator Kim Datchuk (email@example.com) or Curator Joyce Tsai (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information about object study visits.
The Stanley Visual Classroom has a limited capacity to host school field trips, so we encourage K-12 educators to make use of Stanley School Programs (SSP). SSP brings original works of art from Africa, India, and the Americas to classrooms and other venues around Iowa for interactive presentations. Email Assistant Curator of Education Brady Plunger (email@example.com) for more information on SSP and hands-on experiences for community groups, follow this link to schedule a presentation today!
